Hello! It’s been a while, but I’m finally back (HOPEFULLY!!!! I’ve been repeating these words in my mind a lot lately, but nothing happened till, well, today). I’ve kinda been in a slump and I’m really trying to solve this annoying problem.
Anyway, there are some good news I’ve been wanting to share with you all kind souls who have been reading my boring reviews since forever. Those who follow me on twitter might already know, but I’m saying it anyway: I finally decided to sell some BLs. I’d be glad if you checked my pinned message on twitter for infos and pictures, since I need to update the shop page on my blog with prices and titles. And yes, speaking of prices, I’m not planning to sell my stuff at more than 15€ (shipping fees included), so I hope you’ll think about it! If you want more pictures or informations, feel free to @ or DM me.
That’s all I wanted to say, now let’s get back on what I came here for.
Today’s title is Kodomo End Roll by Fujitani Ryouko. I’m honestly so happy I got my hands on one of sensei’s works because I really, really have a (BIG) crush on her stories and art!!! \ (•̀ε •́✿) /
Teppei, a university student, thanks to a friend has been given the possibility to act in a movie. He thinks it’s going to be an AV (adult video) since a beautiful woman greets him but, ironically, he’s gonna star in a BL movie and as a UKE. Anyway, despite feeling betrayed by life, he accepts the job.
Then, our second main character, Muroga, an actor and Teppei’s “partner” in the movie, is introduced; he appears to be kind and also shares with Teppei a few gentle words, so that he won’t feel too unconfortable due the situation he’s in. However, as soon as the shoot ends, Muroga’s attitude suddenly changes. As Teppei approaches him to thank him and chitchat, he stops him and says “Once the job is done, don’t talk to me.” leaving our poor Teppei speacheless.
Compatibility between the two seems to have got off on the wrong foot, but beside the annoyance he’s feeling, Teppei decides to keep going for the movie. Another shoot takes place, and this time Muroga and Teppei’s /love scene/ ends with a kiss. Teppei’s first kiss. Muroga realizes what he’s done and wholeheartedly apologies, but since his actions makes things worse for Teppei, as an apology for taking away his first kiss, he decides to go to an amusement park with Muroga.
Next few scene we’re shown Muroga having fun with Teppei, and somehow the distance between the two of them little by little shortens.
Needless to say, this manga is quite lovely.
Let’s start off with a premise. I already said I’m in love with the artist, but I don’t think my words are 100% biased. Despite being one of my favourite BL mangakas, Fujitani Ryouko’s work might not be a true masterpeace like Rutta and Kodama, but it sure doen’t have a lot of slapstick. Overall, the development of the story was quite funny.
I really enjoyed how much I can relate to the squeals of the fujoshis in this work (I might be less hardcore, though).
Sensei’s art style in Kodomo End Roll has changed a lot. Comparing it to past work, it feels a lot more spikey as if her gentle touch is quitely disappearing to something more aggressive??? If There are some part that looked really lazily done to me. All in all the art style is still really good. Those blushing faces still make my heart beat fast!! (´；//д//；`)
Annnnnd, this is it for today (or should I say tonight?). This time, I kind of teased you all and did not include the last part of the book. I hope you’ll buy it or something one day, so you can read those xxxxxx scenes and enjoy them as much as I did. Teheh. ♪
Anyway, I want to take this opportunity to thank once again those who have been visiting this blog! I really appreciate it!
